WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL PROCESS WORKING WITH A CLIENT ON A NEW WEBSITE DESIGN?
When starting a project, I want to get a feel for what my client is looking for. I will request a few examples of websites that my client likes and/or dislikes.
I begin every job with an initial design phase, providing the client with a mock-up of the proposed website. I update my clients throughout the entire process and will provide a full schedule of deliverables. Once the design is approved, I move on to the development phase and then into the final stages to go live.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED DOING THIS TYPE OF WORK?
Funny story actually! I taught myself how to code HTML/CSS back when MySpace was very popular. Some users were selling MySpace “layouts” that would make your profile design be completely unique.
I couldn’t find any that matched exactly what I was envisioning, so I decided to create one myself. After weeks of research, and a lot of trial and error, I taught myself how to code HTML/CSS MySpace Layouts. It was then that I started my first business, 508 Productionsz. Yes, with a z at the end…I know, real original.
I created my graphics in Photoshop and gave my custom layouts away for free. I gained over 2,300 followers/friends and would host contests where I would create a custom layout for the winner. Myspace layouts led to creating HTML/CSS websites and then to WordPress.
In 2008, I attended American International College and was awarded my certification in Web and Graphic Design. Since then, I have been continuing to create websites, graphics, and logos for companies all over New England.

Design and develop custom websites, logos, print and other graphics for numerous clients all over New England and beyond. Manage on-going site content updates, back-ups and hosting for managed clients by performing weekly back-ups, plugin, and core updates and continuously ensure the functionality of all client websites.
Client Implementations Account Manager at WhatArmy: 2015 – Present
Serving as the main point of contact and account manager for over 40 companies. Manage and complete requested updates and customizations to client websites, mock-ups, and other web graphics. Work with development team to perform website updates and ensure complete functionality. Scope and manage client requested tasks while ensuring said projects and web updates stay within budget and that clients’ are updated accordingly. Schedule developers and designers to achieve client and project objectives. QC all development deliverables for quality assurance before client handoff.
Marketing Coordinator at O’Brien Commercial Properties, Inc.: 2013 – 2015
Responsible for all marketing, advertising, and promotional activities. Designed and developed all marketing efforts, including, but not limited to; property brochures, dedicated property websites, email marketing campaigns, and quarterly newsletters, using the Adobe CC Suite and WordPress platform. Listed, managed and continually update all agency properties’ on all company subscribed commercial real estate marketing websites. Sales increased by 25% since start date.
